Sunday is a refugee who escaped persecution in Uganda. In Japan, his status remains undefined 15 years later, with the constant threat of being detained or deported. Through his own cinematic language, inspired by Ugandan Wakaliwood movies, and his own experience as an asylum seeker, and together with his British co-director Leo, they create a refugee narrative that is rarely seen.
